Brian M. Haney
Brian M. Haney is a litigator and advisor to publicly-traded corporations, closely-held businesses, restaurants and other hospitality establishments, highly-placed executives, and individuals in need of guidance. Brian’s practice focuses on both complex commercial litigation matters as well as employment litigation and counseling.
In the commercial litigation arena, Brian has assisted clients through shareholder disputes, trademark litigation, commercial real estate litigation, and a variety of commercial contract disputes. Brian’s practice also includes litigating and advocating licensing and lease disputes on behalf of restaurants, bars, and lodging operations. In the field of employment law, Brian has negotiated and drafted employment and separation agreements, has advised both management and employees on non-compete and non-solicit agreements, and has litigated harassment and discrimination claims as well as wage and hour claims. Brian also regularly conducts seminars and training sessions to educate and update managerial and supervisory personnel on various facets of employment law.
Brian's broad spectrum of experience comes from having practiced at the first litigation boutique in Boston, together with his tenure as a law clerk to the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court. Boston Magazine has designated Brian a "Rising Star" each year since 2011 for his legal accomplishments.
